Back Yard Renovation

Below shows a project completed in March, 2003.  The home is about 12 years old with an established lawn but little formal landscaping in the back.  A water garden was built in 1998.  The homeowners wanted to:

bulletFully landscape around the water feature
bulletProvide screening material on the property line
bulletPlant a variety of specimens that would add color and variety at different times of the year
bulletExpand their irrigation system to water new plantings
bulletInstall a walkway that led from the parking area back to the deck to accent the water feature and the new plantings
bulletInstall a patio to enjoy the water feature

The results can be seen below.  Sufficient room was left for additional blooming plants.
